The BFC-NIR800 near-infrared optical sorter identifies and separates plastic, wood, paper and other materials by spectroscopic signature. The 800 mm wide belt feeds material past high-resolution NIR cameras that analyze each object. Compressed air jets then blast identified materials into separate chutes. This automated sorting achieves high-purity fractions in waste recycling, plastics reprocessing and wood waste streams. The machine handles mixed waste streams at industrial throughput.
